What is PASSION?
I can understand the word PASSION in relating to my past experience of playing softball. I was just so passionate about it that I almost wanted to give up my studies. I called myself softball freak.
I also remembered the time about the multiplication process i was taught in the Navigators where we can get to see four generations of disciples. And it just started with one. I wanted so much to see it in myself.
I also remember those hours of planning for lessons to teach that took longer than the teaching time, i was just passionate to think of ways to teach so that the students could learn in a fun and effective way.
I also remember the time going through the process of preparing to come to work in this orphanage, i was excited and passionate about how i could contribute to the children and the staff here. How i could do my bit with the Holy Spirit's empowerment, presence and wisdom to enhance the lives of the staff and children here.
What is Passion?
It seems that passion does not last long.... it seems that passion can dwindle and it may not stay...

A preacher happened to preach in my church yesterday about passion. Passion is - An intense emotion that compels us to action.
Text: Nehemiah 1-6
1. Passion is birth out of brokenness - 1:4. Nehemiah wept when he heard about the ppl siffering v3. It is about ppl. R u broken with anything in this world?
2. Passion is deepen through prayer - 1:4-11. Nehemiah fasted n prayed.
3. Passion compels bold action - 2:3-5. Neh presents his request to the king. His boldness is a result of his prayer. What is the boldest thing u've donein your life?
4.Passion is contagious - 2:17-18. Passion attracts ppl to wat u r passionate about.
5.Passion brings power to overcome opposition - 4:1-4,6
Neh 6:15-16 - God is the one who built the temple through us.
